Nomination Guidelines
The Women in Leadership Awards celebrate outstanding women in education who have demonstrated excellence, leadership, and innovation in their fields. These awards recognize the achievements of female school management team members, educators, and education leaders who are shaping the future of education.
Who Can Nominate?
- Self-nominations are allowed.
- Colleagues, students, school leaders, or community members may nominate.
- Organizations can also submit nominations.
Award Categories
- Educational Leadership Excellence Award – Honouring a woman leader who has demonstrated outstanding vision and leadership in transforming schools or education systems.
- Community Impact Leadership Award – Recognizing a leader who has strengthened community partnerships to enhance learning outcomes.
- Lifetime Achievement in Education Leadership – Celebrating a distinguished career dedicated to empowering others and advancing education.
- Innovation in Teaching & Learning Award – For an educator or institution driving creative, technology-enabled teaching approaches.
- AI & Digital Transformation Champion Award – Recognising leadership in leveraging technology and AI for education improvement.
- Future-Ready Schools Award – Honouring schools implementing innovative systems for 21st-century learning.
- Champion for Teacher Well-being Award – Recognising leadership in creating environments that nurture teacher growth and mental health.
- Inclusive Education Leader Award – For advancing inclusive practices that ensure all learners thrive.
- Student Support Excellence Award – Celebrating initiatives that strengthen learner care, counselling, and inclusion.
- Outstanding Community Partnership Award – Honouring collaboration between schools, families, and communities that drives real change.
- Corporate Social Investment in Education Award – For companies or organisations that have made significant contributions to education through CSR or philanthropy.
- Education-Industry Collaboration Award – Recognising impactful partnerships between education institutions and industry for skills development.
- Emerging Woman Leader in Education – Celebrating a rising leader making an early yet powerful impact.
- Trailblazer Award – For a woman breaking barriers and redefining leadership in education.
- Pan-African Education Leadership Award – Recognising continental collaboration and leadership across borders.
Nomination Requirements
Each nomination must include:
✅ Nominee Information:
- Full name, job title, institution, and contact details.
✅ Nomination Statement (300–500 words):
- Describe the nominee’s achievements, impact, and why they deserve the award.
✅ Supporting Documents (Optional but Recommended):
- Testimonials (from colleagues, students, or parents).
- Media coverage or recognition.
- Reports, lesson plans, or project descriptions.
Selection Process
A panel of experts in education and leadership will:
✅ Review all submissions.
✅ Shortlist top nominees.
✅ Select winners based on impact, innovation, leadership and Public Vote.

Winners will be announced at the Women in Leadership Awards Ceremony on Friday, 21 August 2026, from 19:00 – 23:00 at Midrand Conference Centre.

✔ Public recognition during the Gala Dinner.
✔ Feature in the EduPulse Africa network.
